A short walk through CoD: BO4 (IIII)

The Black Ops 4 open beta is coming to an end. I would like to write my first post on the past beta, express my impressions and try to tell you what new Treyarch brought to their brainchild.

1. What almost every game greets us with?? That’s right, it’s the same menu)

This very menu greets us: a news feed, a choice of game mode (multiplayer is available in the beta, but among this there will also be a zombie mode, blackout, as I believe, and the last mode, missions to get acquainted with the characters of the game) What is hidden under the other two lower points… I have no idea.
Actually, we briefly went through the menu, let’s click on the Multiplayer mode and take a look at what is hidden behind this mysterious button.

1.2. The “hangar” is waiting for us

Here we see one of the characters, your level, nickname, “calling card”: there will be emblems and backgrounds, as always. You can also gather a party of you and 5 friends (if you have friends, of course).

Well, I can’t wait to click on the game search button? Take your time comrade, let me take you into the world where you will create your own class for your playing style.

1.3. Creating your own class

They won’t let you in there right away, they’ll send you into hell to pump up your lvl, and then they’ll let you in here too. What awaits us here?
We have the opportunity to create six classes + five will be standard with weapons already distributed, but we don’t need this, we ourselves want to build our own killing machine, right?
Let’s see what’s hiding main weapon… Oh yes, there will be a lot of screenshots, but don’t worry, you can always scroll through the point of the post that is not interesting to you)

We see five types of weapons: assault rifles, submachine guns, tactical rifles, thinner, light machine guns (light machine guns) and sniper rifles.

Let’s start in order. IN assault rifles Five machine guns await us:

1) ICR-7(Improved accuracy with low recoil)
2) KN-57 (Well balanced with moderate recoil)

3) RAMPART 17 (High damage with low fire rate)

4) VAPR-XKG (Super mobility and reliable damage)

5) MADDOX RFB (High rate of fire with lots of ammo)

Submachine guns (quantity five pieces):

1) MX9 (Reliable damage with moderate recoil)

2) GKS (Low recoil, accurate at range)

3) SPITFIRE (High speed of fire)

4) CORDITE (Good rate of fire and large ammo capacity)

5) SAUG 9MM (Fast aiming and moving)

Tactical rifles (three things):

1) AUGER DMR (High Damage Semi-Automatic)

2) ABR 223 (Powerful with a burst of three bullets with medium range accuracy)

3) SWORDFISH (Four-round burst for long-range accuracy)

Light machine gun (the only one in beta, oh well):

1 and 1 only) TITAN (Reliable fire power with large ammo capacity (surprising, yes?)

Sniper rifles (two things, one of which can definitely kill with the first shot, I haven’t tried the second because it’s not for snipers):

1) PALADIN HB50 (High damage, with bolt. First shot kill to head, body and shoulders. Hold SHIFT to stabilize while aiming)

2) KOSHKA (quick to wield bolt. One shot to kill above the chest. To hold your breath, use the same SHIFT)

What’s next? Secondary weapons!
Let’s start in order. Pistols (available in two pieces):

1) EQUIPMENT CHARGE (Booster to increase the charge speed of equipment and specialist weapons)

2) STIM SHOT (Heals faster and more often, while maintaining control over weapons)… “Heals? Can’t we just sit in hiding?? "Now no longer, into the game introduced a health bar system. Now it’s enough to press one button “X by default” and you will begin to restore lost health, you will still have healing, but with this boost you will be able to replenish your HP much more often.

5) ACOUSTIC SENSOR (Makes it easier to hear enemy footsteps)

Next on the list is equipment:

1) TROPHY SYSTEM (Destroys enemy explosives, but has a chance to miss missiles)

2) COMBAT AX (Throwing ax that kills immediately when it hits an enemy carcass)

3) FRAG (An ordinary grenade that you can hold in your hand so that it will later I tore your hand from inability to count blew up the enemy you throw it at)

4) MOLOTOV (Good old Molotov turning the place where he breaks into a challenge “the floor is lava”)

5) CONCUSSION (Causes opponents to become lost in time and space)

Let’s move on to the sweet stuff, that’s ours perks:

1) ENGINEER (Gives you the opportunity to see equipment and speedlights through walls, and does something with parcels)

2) COLD BLOODED (Increases resistance to enemy abilities, etc.)

3) TACTICAL MASK (Increases resistance from flash drives, wire, reactor, fire, etc.)

4) FLAK JACKET (Reduces damage from explosions)

1) SCAVENGER (Killed enemies drop parsley, so you can continue to replenish ammo when you kill an enemy with picked up ammo)

2) LIGHTWEIGHT (Run fast and do not take damage after falling from a great height)

3) GUNG-HO (Shoot and use equipment while moving, sprint recovery is faster, move at full speed while reloading your weapon)

4) DEXTERITY (Makes you an athlete who can make quick tackles to the girl, climb, crawl + improves weapon accuracy during all these actions)

1) TEAM LINK (Gives you the ability to see allies through walls and increases the radius of the “fog of war”)

2) GHOST (Makes you a stealth assassin during the action of an enemy UAV, also reduces the duration of the enemy sensor and Visor)

3) TRACKER (You become a tracker and sniff out traces of enemies just don’t lick the blue blood)

4) DEAD SILENCE (Move quietly and ignore detection from the Acoustic Sensor)

Remained WILDCARDS which came with BO3 (make it possible to install more mods on weapons, the ability to take two main or secondary weapons, an additional perk, operator mods (operator mod) or replace the remaining perks (two cells) with one style (blue, green, red). Well, you are limited in the choice of all kinds of body kits, cards, perks… in the amount of 10 honeycomb cells. If you want to add something, you have to take something off

We are done with creating the class, let’s now go to the tab with scorchstrikes…Well, everything is clear here, but I’ll add a little information. So, we have twelve scatters, let’s start from the top left, and go in order to the right:

Let’s look into specialist headquarters (I can’t say for sure what new things were added and changed in the specialists; I haven’t played BO3 since the beta). As many as ten specialists are available, including:

1) AJAX – clears territories (He carries a grenade and a special weapon in the form of a shield through which he shoots with a rapid-fire automatic pistol (like a machine gun)). Counter with explosives or from behind

2) BATTERY – demolition (Cluster sticky grenade, special weapon – grenade launcher)

3) CRASH – support (A bag of ammunition, special weapons – increases the team’s HP)

4) FIREBREAK – makes enemies fuss (The reactor (to use you need to hold down the button) fries enemies, as a result of which they will not be able to use the first aid kit for some time, the special weapon is a flamethrower) Another new feature of the game, when you are burned with something fiery, you cannot heal

5) NOMAD – makes ambushes (a slingshot with which it sets tripwires, a special weapon – a dog that bites enemies in sensitive places)

6) PROPHET – stun (a car that drives on its own and stuns only one enemy, after which it is destroyed (without killing), a special weapon – a sniper with electric shots, with which you can create a chain of crawling SHOCKED enemies)

7) RECON – reconnaissance (Shoots with a sensor dart, special weapon – glasses with which he scans the area in front of him and marks all enemies that come across and they will be visible through the walls)

8) RUIN – attack aircraft (Hook cat Apparently he borrowed it from Batman, special weapon – instead of the two knives with which he flew, he flies with a pipe, also killing everyone he hits in the area)

9) SERAPH – tactician (Probe with which you can see a small round area of ​​the map, special weapon – mega revolver that one-shots)

10) TORQUE – blocks space (Barbed wire, if caught in it the enemy will slow down and take damage, special weapon – puts a shield in front of him, which he fries in front of him)

2. Game modes
Now, after setting up our class and briefly studying the specialists, we are ready to click on the game search button, and what will we see in front of us?? We’ll see five modes choice for six maps (Contrband, Seaside, Frequency, Playload, Gridlock, Hacienda). Among the modes, one new one has appeared (his name is HEIST), let’s start with it (screenshots from YouTube gameplay, because I forgot (I made the rest of the screenshots myself)):

1) HEIST – a mode, the essence of which is the following, two teams of five people shoot for a bag of money, then after one of the teams captures the bag, it will be necessary to deliver it to the evacuation point, and therefore there will be a victory.

If we’re talking about money, then it’s obviously not easy? Yes, in this mode you will have to spend the accumulated money on weapons, perks, speedstrikes, armor, equipment (reminiscent of counter-strike, but it turned out quite well)

First aid kits and ammo are limited, they can be found on the map and replenished. There is also a new feature of the game (which will probably be added to the BlackOut mode (battle royale), now you can raise disabled partners, screen attached

The mode is competitive, it really brought something new to the game and turned a simple good CoD into something tactical other than just a simple mess, I liked it.

The remaining four modes we are familiar with them, let’s go over them briefly

2) Control – two points A and B, two teams, in turn one of them either attacks or defends

3) Capture Moshpit – a mixture of modes based on captures

4) Search and Destroy – no respawns, either take a bomb and blow up one of the points, or defend

5) Chaos TDM – a typical deathmatch, whoever kills the most wins

Let’s sum it up: this is still the same CoD BO3, only with different mechanics, modes, slightly improved graphics.
The gameplay has become more mundane, which is probably for the better (no jetpacks and running on walls), but it’s a matter of each person’s tastes, for some the absence is good, but for others it’s not. The maps are beautiful, it’s pleasant to run through them, the eyes are really happy with the picture.
The developers promised to pay special attention to the PC version and guess what?? They kept their word, the optimization pleased me, I didn’t have any FPS drops, there were a lot of different settings, different settings for mouse sensors, etc., in general, they did a great job with the PC version.
Will the game be worth the money?? You can spend 2k on the standard PC version, but I wouldn’t spend 4k on the console version for a simple edition, this is the case when for 4.5k is better on PC to buy the digital deluxe edition (which will have both a season pass and call of duty points)
Rating of my game on a 10-point system: 8/10 (don’t take it for granted that how many people will have so many opinions and ratings on this game)
