Actually, if you have money and you update your hardware every year, then of course your choice is Nvidia, but if you want to take something for several years, then of course the choice must fall on Amd, due to their constant support for old “cards” and good indicators relative to Nvidia (take the same Fury x).

It is clearly “visible” that this is the situation specifically with your system. As for the problem itself, this case is just a reason to think again. But in no way does this expose Nvidia itself, because in your case there are too many extraneous factors. Moreover, this topic has come up many times already. There are tons of videos and articles on this topic with both “evidence” and “refutations”. Tellingly, they are “blamed” basically in the same way – “I installed a new driver and the FPS dropped” (look what a fool I am and how I like to jump to hasty conclusions). But they refute it much more constructively.
But that’s not all. Yes, there are problems with drivers. For a specific revision with specific games (mostly old ones) and|or specific video cards and|operating systems. In general, a more recent driver version does not guarantee that you will not have problems. Not that this is normal, but it happens quite often and has always been (and not only among the green ones, of course).
